Class Descriptions

CROM MT offers Martial Arts Classes and CrossFit Training.


CrossFit Classes

CrossFit workouts are designed to build a LEAN and conditioned body developing functional, practical muscles that burn fat. Each class provides constantly varied high intensity natural movements that work your entire body.  CrossFit is aimed to increase endurance, strength, power, flexibility, coordination, and overall athleticism. There is a Workout of the Day (WOD) that is always different from the workout done the previous day to provide variation, keep members interested in coming back, and therefore create results. Classes are for ALL fitness levels led by enthusiastic instructors that motivate everyone safely, to their fullest capacity.  Don’t forget, muscles are FAT BURNING ENGINES that create LEAN bodies!!

Muay Thai Intro:

This is class is a 30 minute co-ed crash course for the new student. Each student will go through the “basic training” of Muay Thai in a safe and structured environment before progressing on to Muay Thai Elements or Muay Thai Fitness classes.

Basic training will consist of:

  • Skipping rope
  • Learning hand wrapping
  • Dynamic warm up routine
  • Shadowboxing
  • Stance and footwork
  • Basic strikes


Muay Thai Open Level:

This is a non-contact class (no sparring or partner drills) where students learn the offensive techniques of Muay Thai through shieldwork and bag work to get in great shape. It is suggested that a new student participates in up to 2-3 Muay Thai Intro sessions before moving on to Muay Thai fitness classes.  This class can also be used as a great work out for the more advanced student.

  • Calisthenics (push ups, lunges, air squats, crunches, super mans, plank etc)


Muay Thai Elements:

This is a fine tuning class where students can break down the basic techniques of  Muay Thai through shadowboxing, padwork, bag work, and drills.  Sharpen each of your 8 weapons in this core session.  This class is perfect for beginners, intermediate and advanced students!

  • Calisthenics (push ups, lunges, air squats, crunches, super mans, plank etc)


Intermediate/Advanced Muay Thai Class (Sport class)

Our Intermediate/Advanced co ed Muay Thai class is the next step up after “basic training”. After building a strong foundation, intermediate students will progress in to “Thai pad” training. While still focusing on developing fitness levels, the intermediate student will also begin learning “partner drills” students use light contact with padded training gear to learn offensive and defensive techniques. It is suggested that a student participates in at least 30-50 hours of Muay Thai Elements or Fitness class before moving on to intermediate/advanced training.  These training classes will consist of the following on alternating days: Drills and Technical Sparring & Padwork and Clinching.  These classes are taught almost exclusively by Chris Romulo.  (Proper sparring gear is a must; headgear, shinguards, 16 oz gloves, cup (men), mouthpiece and hand wraps.)


No Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian jiujitsu is a martial art, combat sport, and a self defense system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. BJJ promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique, taking the fight to the ground – most notably by applying joint locks and chokeholds to defeat the other person. No Gi BJJ training can be used for sport grappling tournaments/ MMA competition or self-defense.
No Gi Jiu-Jitsu training helps students increase overall speed and strength. Eliminating the heavy uniform of one’s training partner to grab and use, No Gi Jiu-Jitsu helps students to develop faster reflexes and think more moves ahead. No Gi Jiu-Jitsu training at CMT will help one increase endurance and reach fitness goals quickly.



Ladies’ Muay Thai Kickboxing Class 

Our ladies’ Muay Thai kickboxing class is similar to our Muay Thai fitness class. In a one hour session the ladies will improve their all around fitness levels, lose weight, get lean, and develop strength and flexibility in a non-contact class. By utilizing Muay Thai’s effective and reliable training methods, one can be sure to achieve superior results. Learn Muay Thai’s graceful yet dynamic techniques in a fun and safe space . Punches, kicks, knees and elbows will guarantee a full body work out for all fitness levels.


Muay Thai for Kids

Martial arts helps to decrease violence by giving kids another option besides hanging out in the streets and becoming influenced by peers. By giving kids a second home we are teaching them that hard work and passion is the only true way to achieve anything in life. Channeling their aggression and physicality in constructive ways is in our opinion, the way to keep kids on the straight and narrow. This was the exact way our owner and lead instructor Chris Romulo was able to create the life that he lives now. As a child he was exposed to the school of hard knocks but luckily one moment in his life led him down the right path, that of self knowledge and expression, the Martial Arts. Our kids’ Muay Thai program stresses mental and psychological solutions before resorting to fist-i-cuffs.
Through Muay Thai boxing your child can:

  • learn to defend them themselves
  • build self-confidence and discipline
  • develop self-control, determination and learn to keep a cool head
  • achieve good health and a quick, strong body

Kids’ Muay Thai All Levels:

This class is for any beginner/intermediate child aged 7-12 in the sport of Muay Thai. Each student will learn and practice the fundamentals of Muay Thai Boxing. Skipping rope, stretching, strengthening, shadowboxing and bagwork.  Students will also begin performing interactive drills to further develop one’s understanding of the sport of Muay Thai.  Students will also develop the physical attributes of the Martial Artist; agility, balance, endurance, flexibility, power, speed, and strength. Teamwork is very much encouraged in our classes while learning the martial artist’s code of conduct, Bushido; Benevolence, Courage, Honor, Justice, Loyalty, Politeness, Veracity.

Muay Thai is also a great cross training activity for your child’s off season sport!

Teens’ Muay Thai All Levels:

This is a co ed class for teens aged 13-17 years old. Each student will learn the fundamentals of Muay Thai, boxing and fitness training. Through our comprehensive program students work together to accomplish fitness and/ or Martial Arts goals. Bagwork, pad work, partner drills and conditioning are all a part of classes. There are three levels the teen can progress through; Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Each class is grounded in helping each student learn and appreciate the sport of Muay Thai and western boxing.


Competition Class: Advanced Sparring and Drills for Kids & Teens:

This class is  is for Advanced  kids and teens  aged 7-17 years old. Students generally must have a minimum of 1 year of regular “All Levels” training before graduating to competitive training. Students focus on partner drills, technical sparring and clinching.

There is an additional fee of $25/ per month for these 2 extra sessions per week.
